Did you know tomorrow, June 14th, is Flag Day? To get into the spirit we turned to our friends over at Julep. Sometimes we want to party pretty without looking like a walking American flag. So we dress in a solid, usually reds, whites or blues and then add some patriotic nail art to make a classic Americana look pop. We are loving Julep's fun patriotic nail art inspiration that is perfect for both Flag Day and the 4th of July and for that matter any other patriotic holiday! Take a look at these pictures for ideas on how to pretty your nails for the upcoming holidays. What is even better is that Julep is offering a free Star Spangled 8-piece gift when you join Julep Beauty Box. This includes four patriotic polishes, a hot pink lip gloss, a peony pink blush stick, a bronze eyeliner, and white chevron nail decals. A $122 value FOR FREE! Use the promo code FIREWORKS from now until July 5th! Continue Reading →
Our close friends and occasional PIP contributors, Vicki and Paige, landed in Waco, Texas for a fun week in search of all things fabulous. It did not take them long to discover a set of wonderful burlap silverware holders. We hate to admit it but this was our first encounter with utensil holders and we are smitten. So of course, we felt compelled to spend a couple of of hours researching burlap utensil pockets and then decided to share a few of our favorites with you. We envision using cutlery pockets for weddings, bridal & baby showers, and birthday & dinner parties . We also think burlap silverware holders could really add that sometime elusive but all so important little splash of wow to your Thanksgiving tables! Continue Reading →
Memorial Day is just around the corner but there is still plenty of time to order a few extras to add a festive touch to your party and you don't need to spend a fortune to do so. We love the little mason jar sippers with red and blue striped straws. Glass bowls filled with red, white and blue jelly belly and m & m candies are fun, easy and inexpensive. Good looking paper plates and napkins are always essential. Throw a few small vases filled with swirl pops and patriotic pretzels around the room intermixed with this simple fresh flower arrangement (ok – we admit, no matter how great our decor, it never seems quite complete unless we have at least one vase of fresh flowers). Patriotic cupcake kits make yummy cupcakes taste even better. How fun would it be to send your guests home with individual bottles of “Hot & Proud” hot sauce which also add a bit of sass to your table settings. And finally, red and blue ribbons remind us of the meaning of Memorial Day.
