With so many decisions to be made during the course of planning a wedding too often the welcome bag is left to the last minute and then the whole process can get a bit overwhelming. Chances are your first stop is Pinterest – we know ours is. Once there, we inevitably fall victim to what we like to call Pinterest envy. OMG everything is stunning and every little detail is addressed in a chic & stylish way. But then we start pricing out all those details and after all is said and done some of those “little bags” filled can cost upwards of $50.00 each. We don't know about you, but the thought of spending $5000 on 100 welcome bags seems insane. Plus, we are not huge fans of plastering the bride and grooms face on every water bottle and mint tin but rather prefer to choose one signature item and make that item special – think welcome to our wedding weekend Minibooks™ cards!
We want to remind you PartyIdeaPros.com is here to help you with anything you might possibly need for your big day. We receive hundreds of promotional offers each and every day and do not want to litter the site with banners and short lived deals that don't apply to where you are in the wedding planning process but we do want you to know that when you are ready to purchase your invitations, favors, cocktail napkins, escort cards, table numbers, welcome bags, bridesmaid and flower girls gifts, or any of the many other little details that taken together create the perfect celebration, drop us an email asking if we know of any current deals. Seriously, we will search our databases and call our contacts to see if there are currently any deals to be had or if anyone is planning to offer significant discounts in the near future.
For example, next Tuesday and Wednesday, The Knot Wedding Shop is hosting their annual napkins event. For 2 days only The Knot will be offering their customers the following deals so even if you aren't currently thinking about ordering your cocktail napkins next week you might decide to take advantage of the savings now.
- Personalized Beverage & Quotable Napkins on sale at their LOWEST PRICE of $9.99 (was $26.95 per 100)
- Matchbooks & Luncheon Napkins at $13.99! (was $28.95 per 100)
Similarly if you are in the market for thank you notes, PartyIdeaPros.com will have access to an exclusive Tiny Prints promotional code for 40% off Thank You Cards all day Monday, February 24, 2014. If interested, email us and we will email you back a link to the promotional code. Not to be beat, Wedding Paper Divas currently is offering up to 20% Off Wedding Invitations and Reception Stationery with Promo Code: FEB20WED (thru Feb 25, 2014) and for a limited time is also offering 10 FREE invitation samples
And finally, if you are planning your honeymoon, we are constantly being barraged by our travel merchants with amazing limited time deals on fabulous getaways. Email us if you would like us to forward you offers on any particular destinations.
We are also more than willing to source your Pinterest Board. Although we do ask that you edit your board to include ideas you are seriously contemplating – i.e. Harry Winston diamond engagement rings are probably not in your budget (are you listening Izzy?).
I happened to be poking around The Knot this morning especially interested in checking out their escort card ideas and by chance came across this lovely bridesmaid gift – a simple black clutch filled with survival kit essentials. I loved everything about it except maybe the bright teal initials but turns out that is an easy fix — either click the “do not personalize” option or have each bridesmaid's initials embroidered in black thread. Black on black is always timeless and elegant. I promise you, each and everyone of your bridesmaids will still be using this classic clutch 30 years from now.
Best yet and completely coincidentally, before I even had time to post this, I received an email from The Knot announcing their 2 Day sale!
For 2 days only, take $20 OFF orders $100+! Use code 2DAY20 at checkout. Hurry, ends Thursday, May 16th.
One of my good friends called yesterday looking for event planning software and I am embarrassed to say, I had no idea where to send her. So I have spent today searching. Unfortunately, I don't have any great answers but I do have a couple of possibilities that I had sitting in my back pocket all along.
My first choice in planning software is MyEvent.com. The reason is that it does all of the following plus offers customizable websites for just about any occasion or event including family reunions, weddings, baby showers and births, Quinceanera and Sweet Sixteen parties, Bar and Bat Mitzvah celebrations, and fundraising,
- Send & Track Invitations Easily Send and track invitations to your party guests using the broadcast email tool. You can send reminders before your event and Thank You's after your event.
- Maps Add a map for any destination simply by entering the civic address. The map will show how to navigate to your event so you don't have to!
- RSVP Management Party guests can RSVP to the event on your website, saving time and postage. You can add questions to the RSVP page to prompt responses from your party guests to help with the planning. You can include meal selections with this tool.
