A few weeks ago we took a first stab at a pink snowman party. Today we are refining the vision to create an adorable little girl’s first birthday celebration.
The inspiration is this Zazzle invitation – Karl, we agree, the cute little pink cap beats the traditional snowman hat, hands down. We did not want the save the date to match the invitation so together we came up with a coordinating look to set the party’s tone yet not take away from the invitation itself.……
We are loving Wedding Paper Divas’ video blogs. On this week’s Small Talk Big Day, Amber gives advice for all those who are newly engaged! It’s hard to keep the fun news a secret, but Wedding Paper Divas’ expert lends some thoughtful tips and ways to properly announce and share the big engagement news to everyone. We are loving this advice!
- Be sensitive >> This will be one of the biggest moments in your life! Before you tell your entire circle about the big news, make sure you and your partner tell your closest friends and family first. (PIP echoes this advice — SO SO TRUE!)
- Stay off social media >> As you call your parents, siblings, grandparents, best friends, and so on, make sure you tell them to keep the news a secret. They should not be allowed to Tweet about it, before you get to!
- Make it count >> Once you find the right time to let the world know about your engagement, take pictures of just the two of you. Your sweet announcement should not become a Facebook image gallery of your engagement ring. Keep it classy!
Along with the video’s release, Wedding Paper Divas is now offering 15% off save the date orders or 20% off orders of $99 using the code SAVESEP20 at checkout (valid thru 9/29/15). You have lots of choices >> share the big engagement news on classic flat cards, postcards, magnets, and now even on festive coasters. Here are a few of our favorites:
More Holiday Cards and Invitations on Sale!
A few days ago we featured one of Zazzle’s newest additions to their product line – paper napkins. Today we want to remind you that Zazzle is offering 75% OFF all their invitations, holiday cards, and flat cards of all types (including table numbers). So if you can pull it all together in time, today really is the day to purchase your holiday party, birthday party & baby shower invitations, wedding announcements, and even graduation cards for the entire year. This is truly a remarkable sale especially since the Zazzle’s flat cards have the look and feel of high quality, expensive cards. Be sure to use Zazzle Promo Code ZAZCYBERWEEK
While on the site take a peek at the other Zazzle products. Zazzle’s Cyber Week deals are really quite incredible with up to 60% OFF products like wrapped canvas art, posters, mugs, folded greeting cards, calendars, phone cases, watches and cuts holiday ornaments. And if nothing else, pick up a roll or two of wrapping paper at 50% OFF. We know for sure you will be needing lots of that in the next few weeks! Again be sure to use Zazzle Promo Code ZAZCYBERWEEK.
We know this might seem a bit premature but it is NOT TOO EARLY to begin planning your Fall wedding. In fact, End of March – May are the months to get your Save the Date mailed. Remember the whole process takes time – try not to be in a rush. Also, if your mailing requires more than 1 stamp, please make sure you order enough the first time because you never know if the stamps will still be available when you go to mail your final invite. Mixed stamps give a sloppy first impression.
Here are a few things to consider:
Autumn Wedding Colors
The colors you naturally think of for fall (deep reds, oranges, and browns) work great, but if you want to open it up a little, consider olives, purples, dark yellows, and cream.
Some great color combos include:
Eggplant – Dark Olive – Light Olive Chocolate – Dark Red – Orange Chocolate – Light Brown – Cream Eggplant – Chocolate – Light Brown
