New Year’s Eve 2016

New Year's Eve 2012 Party IdeasWe’ve combined our favorite  party essentials to throwing this years best New Year’s Eve party! From hostess gifts, to great deals on champagne we’ve got you covered.  Decorate your space with festive paper fans and embellish baked goods and champagne rims with fun edible glitter.

We love the personalized metal fortune cookies as table decor, party favors or New Year’s gifts.  Write special messages to your guest or personalized wishes for the upcoming year.

Class up your food display with these adorable metal bird cheese markers.  These chic details really make your party special and will have your guests asking where they can pick some up.

Our favorite New Years colors this year are black and gold so we’ve incorporated them from the invitations to the plates and even on the champagne flute rims.

This years hottest new years product is edible glitter. We choose the gold to keep with our theme.  Wet the rims of your champagne glasses and roll in the glitter to add a fun detail to your party.  You can also top cake pops and cupcakes with this whimsical details just by sprinkling it on top of the frosting.

Halloween Party Games & Activities

Halloween Party GamesAs you well know, successful children’s parties need detailed planning.  Down time often equals trouble because when you put a bunch of kids together with nothing to do, I promise you they will either create drama (girls) or create chaos (boys).  That is why Party Idea Pros highly recommends slotting in at least 4 organized activities in addition to eating.  We recommend planning a doing activity, a craft activity, a game activity, and ending the party with a breaking the pinata.  Additionally, we always plan an extra game or two just in case the kids aren’t feeling one the activities we planned or each activity goes more quickly than anticipated.  Remember it is much easier to cut out a planned game than it is to create one on the spot.

For Halloween consider planning a Witch Hunt as your doing activity where you turn out the lights, and players search in the dark with  flashlights for witch paper cut-outs secretly placed around the party area! We love the Color Your Own Halloween Paddleball Games as the craft activity. And the Bean Bag Toss, Dart Board, Disk Drop, and Pin The Tail On The Cat all work for the game activity.  Halloween PinatasAnd of course, there are plenty of great Halloween pinatas available.  For the “just in case” games simply print out a few Halloween theme printable games and if you need them, you can let the kids choose which one to play.  Also, for Halloween we would add one more activity – a fashion show so the kids can “show off” their costumes!

Happy Halloween & Party Hearty!

50% off Pack of 450 Printable Games

Printable GamesFor one day only, September 18, 2012, Funsational is offering 50% off its MVP Printable Games Party Collection including new Halloween games.

So sorry – not only has this deal expired, Funsational has closed its doors. But not to worry – Print Games Now has taken up the slack! You can also find lots of fun printable games on Etsy.

Both Print Games Now carry Holiday, Seasonal, and Event games; Baby Shower, Bridal Shower, Birthday, Over-the-Hill, Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, Spring, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Harvest, Christmas, New Year’s and Winter games.

If we get one question more than any other, it is “do you have any ideas of games to play at my party and by the way, our guests are arriving in 45 minutes.”  Our answer is always the same — yes, go online and order a theme pack of printable games.  The biggest time suck is always the actual ordering and, of course, the printing of the games.  Something always goes awry — generally I forget to fill in a required field and then have to start the ordering process all over again or my printer runs out of paper or worse yet, the printer jams because it knows I am in a rush.  So if you plan in advance, you will not only have peace of mind that you have easily accessible party activities (you have access to the games 24/7), you also have plenty of time to print them out well before your guests arrive.

Have Fun and Party Hearty!

A printable mustache bash game from Funsational that goes perfectly with our Mustache Bash party package and is especially good if you are hosting a boy baby shower.  We are stoked. As you well know, we never give up some searched and searched for alternative and have found a handful of other adorable mustache bash games now available on Etsy.  Enjoy! Continue Reading →
