One Kings Lane, the daily home deal site, recently joined forces with Kitchen Papers to produce these one-of-a-kind chic Autumn paper table setting designs. These designs are inspired by famed New York City restaurateur Danny Meyer, the man behind Gramercy Tavern, Eleven Madison Park, and author of one of our favorite reads, Table Setting
We recommend you combine these stylish-yet-rustic paper placemats, paper napkins, and paper table runners, each adorned with a motif of fresh garden vegetables, to create a stunning Thanksgiving table. The combination will result in the oft sought but hard to achieve sense of sophistication and quality that comes across as effortless.
Although I haven't completely made up my mind, with 50 relatives ringing the doorbell at exactly 1:00 on Thanksgiving Thursday, I am very tempted to go with this design aesthetic. The idea would be to combine the causal elegance of this kraft paper design with my collection of fine china, Fiesta dinnerware and crystal stemware. Not only does this design blend seamlessly into my industrial modern home decor, I think it will make re-setting the tables in between courses so much easier – I can just snatch up the dirty placemats, toss them in the trash and add a fresh mat at each place setting Plus, I could pull the look all together with copper colander centerpieces (filled with fresh seasonal vegetables, and cacti or ivy filler) and chalkboard chic food tags. Since I serve so many different dishes to satisfy a vast array of dietary restrictions, I think it might be helpful to label them all so individuals can choose whether or not to partake. And while I am thinking about it, wouldn't it be great to serve Moscow Mules in copper cups as a festive drink to visually compliment the centerpieces?
