School Roses >> Unfortunately, we cannot link directly to the college roses but all you need to do is click “Brands” and you will find FTD College Roses 2nd in the drop down menu.
Whether you are an entering college freshman or a university alum, FTD offers an extraordinary selection of rainbow roses that will help you celebrate your school colors and your school spirit. Although they do not yet have vases that represent every university FTD has indicated that it is working hard to forge relationships with more and more colleges across the county.
If you are a current student (or are related to one) these fabulous bi-color rose bouquets can both be given and received for such special occasions as birthdays and graduation but they also make festive additions to homecoming events, football games, Greek parties and “deliveries”, and best yet, to celebrate the many accomplishments and milestones reached throughout your life.
So next time your are looking for that little something special to represent your college colors and college spirit – think college roses!

Today through May 2, 2013 all clearance costumes & shoes are drastically reduced to $10 at Costume Express. This is an unbelievable sale. It is definitely worth the time to check out the discounted costumes and stock up not only for Halloween but for your year long costume wearing events. Think elementary school productions, Memorial Day and 4th of July parades, and children's birthday parties.
Do you have a graduating high school senior leaving for college in the fall? Many of the college mixers are themed costume parties so what better a gift than a fully stocked costume box. Izzy's costume box includes everything from Disney princess costumes to cute animal costumes to sassy angels and sizzling devil costumes. Many costumes serve multiple purposes – for example the featured clowning around costume works great for a neon themed party as well as a Mardi Gras party.
Don't dawdle – these costumes are flying off the shelf.
Despite all of today's high tech gadgets and ways to track and sync our busy schedules, college coeds still often prefer the old fashion day planner. Case in point: my daughter Isabelle who is always right on top of what is in and what is not spent hours on her one day home this summer searching for and then custom designing this year's day planner. She already knew many of the girls in her classes at USC would be sporting an Erin Condren planner this semester so she wanted hers to stand out from the rest.
This is a bit embarrassing to admit but it took us multiple hours to perfect her design. Izzy wanted her planner to coordinate with her new chevron bedding without being too matchy matchy. (It probably would have taken only 15 minutes from start to finish if she would have just been willing to order Erin Condren's fabulous zig zag planner, but no such luck.) Plus she wanted different, but coordinating designs on the front and on the back of the planner. A tad complicated but oh so cute!
This particular design was actually inspired by the scrapbook paper she used to decorate her under-bed storage drawers. Last year her dorm room
was all about everything sweet
and candied dreams
. This year she is going a bit more kids jungle safari
combined with the latest chevron patterns and even a bit of chalkboard chic
. I have to admit, the final product really is great especially since it has all sorts of organizing tools built right in. For me, it was definitely worth both the time and money spent on this planner especially if Isabelle actually uses it and actually gets herself to class on time with assignments in hand!

I couldn't wait to spend the summer at home after my freshman year at Michigan State. As much as I loved my first year of college, I looked forward to spending time with friends and loved ones. Unfortunately between my summer school class schedule, course assignments, and juggling two jobs I had yet to spend the day with my favorite seven year old, my cousin Alyssa.
Alyssa and I love imaginary travel and have especially enjoyed children's books that take us to lands far, far away. Over the years we probably have read Maurice Sendak's Where the Wild Things Are dozens of times. We have joined both Babar and Curious George as they roam Africa and particularly enjoy Madeline's escapades in Paris. When I read about Tea Collection's Around the World Activity Contest I had one of those “aha” moments. Now that Alyssa has turned 7, I thought she could appreciate and begin to understand the cultures of the world through crafts.
I meticulously began to plan our special day together! I would like nothing more than to win a $500 Tea Shopping Spree for Alyssa's back to school wardrobe! Together we have already picked out some adorable pieces for Alyssa and even found a cute easy to wear, run-around dress for me!

All I needed to do was
- Take a photo of Alyssa completing a DIY activity based on one of Tea's Anniversary destinations (Brazil, Turkey, Japan, Korea, or West Africa).
- Add a photo caption describing the destination inspired craft
- Share our experience as part of Tea Collections Facebook entry page
Since PartyIdeaPros.com has been a huge supporter of Wrap2gether.org, a non-profit organization dedicated to global education and social justice, I had access to the most amazing art project ever. Izzy had designed and fabricated original handmade African inspired dwenimmen jewelry to foster cross-cultural relationships and benefit the Mancona International School in Odumase-Krobo, Ghana Eastern Region. Lucky for me and for Alyssa, Izzy had enough supplies left over so we could actually complete an age appropriate project using hand made dwenimmen, a West African Adirinka symbol representing strength, humility, wisdom, and learning.
We decorated the leather with markers and puffy paint to give it that nice tribal feel. Once finished Alyssa couldn’t help but model and show off her new creation.
