We love this painted pumpkin vase with fresh flowers that showed up on our Facebook feed from Beau-coup, one of our favorite party favor merchants. Yes, flowers always look great in pumpkins but an orange pumpkin with fall flowers is very predictable. All they did in this photo was spray paint this pumpkin white and add a chic contemporary floral arrangement to create a fresh centerpiece look for fall. We love the painted pumpkin displayed on the acacia cake stand also!
We also think this idea would translate well to an intimate dinner party or could even be used at each place setting as a place card / party favor (one per couple is just fine!). Simply use a miniature painted pumpkin and add a handful of freshly picked ombre flowers...
We are definitely adding this to our We <3 Fall Pinterest board as we gather ideas for this year's Thanksgiving festivities.
Last night we happened upon a carved pumpkin display with some stunning pumpkin art but we were particularly taken with a pumpkin that had a rectangular cut out specifically designed for inserting an iPad. It was genius and could make for a spectacular Thanksgiving centerpiece especially if you insert your iPad filled with home movies and family photos into this chic painted pumpkin centerpiece. We highly recommend spray painting the cut-out too!
One of the most difficult parts of planning a wedding is figuring out the bride's style. We often recommend to our brides that one of the best ways to discover your wedding style is to join pinterest, set-up a pinterest wedding board, and just start pinning looks you like. Again, we are offering 2 different style quizzes – the first, the Knot's classic written What's Your Wedding Style: 10 Questions To Ask Quiz and the second Beau-coup's more visual discover your bridal style quiz. Today we received an email seeking ideas for a snowman theme girl's 1st birthday party. We loved the idea and once we started searching, we had trouble reigning ourselves in. Although we gained inspiration from some of our other Winter Wonderland party packages, this party needed to be different – we wanted it to be pink!
We always like to start with the invitations because to us invitations are like the title of a paper – they set the tone for the entire party. We particularly like the wording of the light blue and pink card inviting guests to join them for Winter OnederlandFun! How adorable is that for a January winter birthday party!
Next we searched for paper party goods. We could not find anything particularly girly so we decided this might be the perfect occasion to create your own party kit. All you need to do is peel and stick an adorable pink snowman label / sticker onto a solid pink paper plate and cup. Best of all most of the stickers can be personalized to wish a happy day to the birthday girl!
