How the game is played…

The game is fun, because each person gets to select a wrapped gift, unwrap it and then possibly lose it to someone else and have to select again. Being able to select from unwrapped gifts or “steal” a gift someone is holding is what makes this game so much fun. Continue Reading →

“Give Back” Holiday Party Craft Activity >> No Sew Blankets

Today’s mom’s have little trouble creating beautiful and festive children’s birthday party celebrations but sometimes between our own crazy busy schedules and the quest to throw the this year’s most talked about event, we forget to add the little things that make the day especially meaningful. We think it is important for kids to know how much we love them but equally important for them to understand they are not the center of the universe. Children need to learn and develop  a healthy sense of self which includes compassion and caring of others. What better day to teach this lesson than on the very day they are lavished with gifts. Teach by example – integrate a “Give back” craft activity into your child’s birthday party in addition the the usual birthday fun and party games.

And with the holiday spirit upon us, why wait for your child’s next birthday party. This “Give Back” craft activity would be a wonderful addition to any classroom holiday party and equally brilliant to incorporate into your own kid-friendly holiday celebrations. Continue Reading →

Print and Play!

What could be easier?  Are you like us — we plan every detail of our parties – the invitations, the party decor, the party favors, the food, and never think about planning activities absolutely convinced that our guests are interesting and engaging individuals and can easily entertain themselves.  (except for children’s parties where we plan and schedule every minute).  And then once in a while, we either have a sneaking suspicion a day or so in advance or are caught completely off guard right then and there and realize things aren’t going so well.  We have had political conversations go ballistic and strident parenting advice get a bit overbearing.  There is not much to do about it except quickly change the conversation.  That’s where these Halloween printable games come in extraordinarily handy.  In just a few minutes, we can change the course of the evening.  Don’t get caught in a scary spot.  Plan ahead this Halloween by having a stack of pre-printed games ready at a moments notice.  Have a fun-filled Halloween and party hearty!

One more thought … many of these print and play games work great in a classroom.  Some are even customizable so you can tailor them to your lesson or set them aside for your classroom Halloween celebration.

Halloween Popcorn Ball Decorating Kit

Halloween Popcorn Ball Decorating Kit

It is still not too late to begin planning this year’s family Halloween party!  Some of our favorite childhood memories are the years we all met at Max, Harry & Jack’s house for a fun pre-trick or treating Halloween dinner party.  Their mom, Karen, always had a healthy dinner planned so the kids would not dive right into their trick or treat bags before all the parents had a chance to go through the treats and weed out any suspicious looking or unwrapped “tricks”.

Other than the actual trick or treating, the kids’ favorite part of the night was when Karen escorted them to a huge crafting table set up so each child had their own Halloween Popcorn Ball Decorating Kit. Karen always purchased a basic Halloween Popcorn Ball Decorating Kit from The Popcorn Factory.  Each Halloween Popcorn Ball Decorating Kit came with eight of their delicious signature Popcorn Balls and an array of decorating candy extras – basically, everything you would need to transform the yummy popcorn balls into ghoulies and ghosties and delicious things that go bump in the night. It truly was great family fun!

And best yet, now through Halloween (or while supplies last – yes The Popcorn Factory often runs out of these kits long before Halloween), you can get Get the Halloween Popcorn Ball Decorating Kit for $29.
Party Hearty!
