With the the holidays just around the corner, it got us to thinking … how can we set a festive yet elegant holiday table for 12, inexpensively. Not surprising, and as usual, we turned to Dollar Tree, our go to shop for planning parties on a tight budget. Continue Reading →
It's that time of year and if you have not already, you will most likely receive at least one invitation to an ugly sweater Christmas party. Since we are pretty sure you don't have anything ugly hanging in your closet we have put together a few inexpensive options for you to look great wearing ugly!
This year our “go to” ugly sweater shop is Ugly Christmas Sweaters !
DIY Ugly Sweaters
The easiest and most inexpensive option is to simply take a sweater you already own and ugly it up. Just pin on goofy holiday related items. You can actually order an Ugly Christmas Sweater Kit on Amazon and on Ugly Christmas Sweaters.
Our second stop is generally Amazon because they have a ridiculously large selection of the ugliest sweaters we have ever seen. Since this is not a sweater you will wear over and over again, at least for us, price trumps quality every time.
2017 Holiday Card Trends
It is not too late to order your 2017 Holiday Cards! There are so many holiday cards from which to choose, so where to begin? Well this year, PartyIdeaPros finally got our act together enough to plan in advance for the holiday card season. We contacted some of our favorite merchants so we could actually touch and feel the cards ourselves. Yes, we admit it — we are ridiculously touchy feely types. Our trash cans are filled with not so cheap cards printed on flimsy paper with fuzzy photos and illegible print. On the other hand, our sample books are chock full of Tiny Prints cards and invitations. We love their clear graphics and beautiful eco-friendly papers. We also like that Tiny Prints offers stylish products at three different price points and best of all, throughout December they are offering discounts and deals on many of their popular products. This year's Christmas and Hanukkah card trends include rounded corners, back designs, ornament cards, lots and lots of foil an glitter, and are chock full of images of winter greenery. And of course, classic design and colors never go out of style.

We recently partnered with EtchedWine.com specifically because we love love love these etched wine bottles. Not only do these etched wines and champagnes look great, they make a huge impression. And many of the bottles can be filled with wine of your choosing. We love the fact that you can choose a six liter bottle to be the centerpiece on your wedding or rehearsal dinner tables and not only serve the wine, you can also have your guests sign the bottle as a “guest book” keepsake!
