Cousin Alfred turned 100 this month and my mother-in-law wanted to gift him a special present worthy of a milestone birthday. She wanted ]milestone birthday presents that told a story. A gift that told his story. Specifically, she wanted a copy of the New York Times from the day Alfred was born. A few weeks ago we took a first stab at a pink snowman party. Today we are refining the vision to create an adorable little girl's first birthday celebration.
The inspiration is this Zazzle invitation – Karl, we agree, the cute little pink cap beats the traditional snowman hat, hands down. We did not want the save the date to match the invitation so together we came up with a coordinating look to set the party's tone yet not take away from the invitation itself.……
So we got to thinking, last year at this time we were frantically putting together a pink snowman winter one-derland party theme for a visitor who emailed asking for some inspiration for their daughter's 1st birthday party. This year we challenged ourselves to create a fresh holiday take on a baby boy's 1st birthday party.
Once we found this adorable gnome costume, we were set. Our theme would be Our Little Christmas Gnome Birthday Party. Not only would the photos be #toocute, we loved the idea of combining blue and red with splashes of green to create a playful, festive holiday theme first birthday party. We also found some cute gnome party invitations with a red and white polka dot background – how perfect was that! Continue Reading →
We just partnered with EtchedWine.com specifically because we love love love these etched wine bottles. Not only do these etched wine and champagne bottles look great, they make a huge impression. And many of the bottles can be filled with wine of your choosing. We love the fact that you can choose a six liter bottle to be the centerpiece on your wedding or rehearsal dinner tables and not only serve the wine, you can also have your guests sign the bottle as a “guest book” keepsake!
You can even order coordinating mini bottles to use as party favors. Or if that is a bit extravagant for your wedding budget, maybe just treat your out of town guests by including a mini bottle in your welcome bags.
One more thing >> these fabulous etched wines and champagnes are not just for weddings, they are great for any special occasion! Think fundraisers, milestone birthdays and anniversaries, retirement and graduation parties, and even celebrating the birth of a baby! They would even make a festive addition to Christmas and New Year's Parties!
