So we got to thinking, last year at this time we were frantically putting together a pink snowman winter one-derland party theme for a visitor who emailed asking for some inspiration for their daughter’s 1st birthday party. This year we challenged ourselves to create a fresh holiday take on a baby boy’s 1st birthday party.
Once we found this adorable gnome costume, we were set. Our theme would be Our Little Christmas Gnome Birthday Party. Not only would the photos be #toocute, we loved the idea of combining blue and red with splashes of green to create a playful, festive holiday theme first birthday party. We also found some cute gnome party invitations with a red and white polka dot background – how perfect was that! Continue Reading →

This month we seem to be on the baby shower circuit. We spent the first half of the week, without success mind you, searching for the perfect baby girl outfits and newborn gifts to pair with our current favorite baby shower gift, a Sophie the Giraffe Teeether. And then we had an ah ha moment >> Gymboree now has new line of adorable newborn gifts! And of course, it is chock full of the cutest giraffe theme onesies, burpies, hooded towels, loveys, bibs, socks, and so much more. Just a quick note on Party Idea Pros approach to children’s parties.
We have an “old fashion” approach to kids’ parties. We say keep them small, keep them short, and keep them simple. We love hula hoops, beach balls, crayons, washable markers, glue sticks, and musical instruments. Generally, the number of guests should equal the age of the birthday child, but don’t obsess if you are a few over or under — it is not worth the hurt feelings for an extra child or even two. Never, ever deliver invitations at school, unless every single child is invited!!!!! Skip the jumpies and the pony rides. Continue Reading →
