The dress has been revealed! Catherine Middleton, now the Duchess of Cambridge, arrived to her royal wedding in a long white gown designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen. Middleton’s dress had a modest plunging neckline and long white lace sleeves, reminiscent of the one that actress Grace Kelly wore to wed the Prince Ranier III of Monaco. According to the royal website, the lace appliqué on the bodice and skirt was hand-made by the Royal School of Needlework, based at Hampton Court Palace. Individual flowers were hand-cut from lace and hand-engineered onto the ivory silk tulle gown.
The bride wore a ‘halo’ tiara atop her hair and a sheer white veil covered her face as she waved to the crowd. The ‘halo’ tiara was made by Cartier in 1936 and presented to Princess Elizabeth (now The Queen) by her mother on the occasion of her 18th birthday, according to the official royal wedding website. The tiara was purchased by King George VI three weeks before he succeeded his brother as King.
The veil is made of layers of soft, ivory silk tulle with a trim of hand-embroidered flowers, also by embroidered by the Royal School of Needlework. Her shoes were also made by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen.
The bride’s Robinson Pelham earrings, which were a personal gift from her parents on her wedding day, are diamond-set stylized oak leaves with a pear shaped diamond set drop and a pavé set diamond acorn suspended in the center. Inspiration for the design comes from the Middleton family’s new coat of arms, which includes acorns and oak leaves. They were made to echo the tiara.
William presented Kate with a wedding ring fashioned from Welsh gold before the Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams.
Princess Catherine’s bouquet consisted of myrtle, lily-of-the-valley, sweet William and hyacinth.
After the ceremony, Prince William – dressed in his red Irish Guards uniform (he holds the rank of lieutenant) – and his blushing bride walked out of Westminster Abbey to the cheering crowd lining the route to the royal reception at the palace. The winning look is sealed with a kiss!

I just spoke with Deanne over at Printable Games A to Z. She offered a few ideas on how to make their games "Royal Wedding" worthy! Here are a few of her ideas:
Since some of our games are very customizable, it is easy to personalize them for the royal event. A great example is Bridal Bingo. Once purchased, the game will prompt you to add personalized details before printing. So rather than use the standard bridal shower words insert "Royal Wedding" words in the squares.
For instance:

- Another idea is to insert the names of other famous royal couples into the squares.
Bridal Shower Word Twist is another good example that can be customized for a royal wedding viewing party. Simply create a phrase such as Royal Wedding or Happily Ever After or even Don't Panic There's Still One Prince Left --the goal is to create as many words as possible out of the selected phrase. Another fun game is Everything Wedding -- in this game customers can personalize the top phrase and guests would have to name as many royalty related items as they can from A-Z.

Recipes using a palace favorite: Framboises St. George
 |
Winter Moon4 1/2 ounces chilled Domaine Carneros Brut Rosé 3/4 ounce Sonoma Sparkler Raspberry 1/2 ounce *St. George Framboise Liqueur 1/4 ounce *St. George Framboise Eau de Vie 2 dashes Angostura Bitters |
Add all ingredients except the Brut Rosé to a mixing glass and give them a quick stir to mix. Add enough ice to fill the mixing glass to the top, shake hard for 5 seconds and strain into a chilled martini glass.
Carefully pour the Domaine Carneros Brut Rosé into the glass and then very gently stir to mix.
Drop a very thin slice of persimmon on top of the drink and sprinkle with allspice/nutmeg sugar to garnish.
Makes 1 cocktail
