Delicious, Elegant, and a bit Whimsical – Small Bites

Use your imagination … display is key. Use martini glasses, wine glasses, champagne flutes, shot glasses, square plates, rectangular plates, and round plates. They don’t need to match and high quality clear or black plastic is fine.

Some of our favorites …

  • prosciutto and sliced smoked salmon wrapped asparagus tied with chives
  • salmon and/or tuna tartar
  • sushi
  • deviled eggs
  • mini burgers and pigs in a blanket
  • sliced filet mignon on baguette topped with a dollop of horseradish sauce
  • gazpacho
  • tea sandwiches (be sure to cut off the crusts and use cookie cutters to create interesting shapes)
  • cheese tortellini with various sauces
  • quesadillas
  • individual pizza slices with interesting toppings
  • marinated herrings on mini pumpernickel breads

83rd Annual Academy Awards Nominated Films

Encourage your guests to watch as many nominated films as possible before the party — an educated crowd is always more fun and more invested in the evening. Although not all nominated films are currently available for purchase, many will be released in DVD or blu ray format a few days after the Academy Awards are broadcast. Films currently in stock are highlighted. Another option rather than buying the DVDs is to watch them on Amazon on Demand or rent them by subscribing to  Netflix. With Netflix you can instantly watch the released movies on your computer or even your TV via Netflix ready devices like game consoles, TVs, Blu-ray players and Roku.

Cast your vote, download the 83nd Annual Academy Awards Ballot.
