Printable Patriotic Games
Don’t forget to print out a few printable patriotic games for your Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day Celebration Parties. They are not very expensive so even if you don’t end up using them this time, you will have unlimited printouts for 90 days which takes you way past Labor Day.
We love to have these games on hand just in case … just in case it rains, just in case the little kids (or the big kids) get antsy, just in case your party extends well into the evening after the sun goes down and the lawn games get put away. Printable games are also a perfect evening activity when camping since they are light weight and easy to transport. Consider printing on recycled paper. And if you are looking for classroom activities for a patriotic school party, these are both educational and fun.
All six of these printable patriotic games will keep your guests guessing and laughing plus you can personalize all of them.

Loving these children’s summer camp essentials and ideas from Minted! They are all #toocute. And since it is already mid-May, it is none to early to place your order for your campers’ personalized stationery, journals, name labels, and don’t forget the stamp! Summer camp is the place that children have the time to step back from their daily routines and discover and/or explore their passions. It is also the time for many kids to take a break from technology and revert to old fashioned pen and pencil. Although, at the time, letters home can be a source of parent consternation, we promise, if you save those letters, they will elicit peels of laughter for many years to come. We recently found one of Izzy’s famed letter’s home that simply read “COME GET ME NOW!” on her customized camp stationery. The fact that we received the letter at least 2 weeks after it was written proved to have been a good thing because by the time these hovering parents called the camp, all was good! (words of advice for college graduates … + the starfish poem)
Update >> Since graduation season is once again upon us, we have decided to republish this post since it seems as relevant six years later as the day we wrote it. In those six years, Daniel has gone on to forge a distinguished career in education. And, in my ever so humble opinion, he truly is heeding his commencement speaker’s advice and both doing something that matters & helping to save the world. And while I am at it, I want to congratulate two of my nieces who are graduating this spring, Jennifer with her MS in School Counseling and Angela with a BSEd in Education and her teacher certification. Two more graduates who have chosen to go into education to make a difference, one child at a time!
My son, along with his peers from across the country, graduated from college this year. Our family had the honor of listening to Steven Chu, Secretary of Energy in the Obama administration, deliver the Washington University of St Louis commencement address. Chu, in his own uniquely charming and witty way, told the graduates his “take home message to you will be just one sentence. Actually, it will be just four words.”
“Do something that matters.”
and then Chu added
“Help save the world.“

School Roses >> Unfortunately, we cannot link directly to the college roses but all you need to do is click “Brands” and you will find FTD College Roses 2nd in the drop down menu.
Whether you are an entering college freshman or a university alum, FTD offers an extraordinary selection of rainbow roses that will help you celebrate your school colors and your school spirit. Although they do not yet have vases that represent every university FTD has indicated that it is working hard to forge relationships with more and more colleges across the county.
If you are a current student (or are related to one) these fabulous bi-color rose bouquets can both be given and received for such special occasions as birthdays and graduation but they also make festive additions to homecoming events, football games, Greek parties and “deliveries”, and best yet, to celebrate the many accomplishments and milestones reached throughout your life.
So next time your are looking for that little something special to represent your college colors and college spirit – think college roses!
